Karen will also be pursuing another grant  for an art type student intern.

Confirmed the major issues for pursuing funding as noted in the November meeting:

Environmental
River
Historical/Heritage
Art

Karen also distributed an outline of a full funding proposal.  The committee spent the majority of the meeting defining the opportunities, goals, problem issues, etc.   Karen will be distributing to the full committee for our input.

Doug Padilla, Michael and Heidi all went on a tour on Tuesday Nov 29 to meet with Curator John Hock of the Franconia Sculpture Park.   This was a great meeting to discuss the importance of the maintenance funding for the park and how to handle an Urban Park.  (Hock was also instrumental in the Western Art Park in St Paul).  Noted that International recognition and artists may be a critical part to this development.   Karen was to gather information on the costs of the Walker/MPB sculpture park for our next meeting.

Discussion on the next meeting.  Mike to have Park Board staff attend and discuss B F Nelson.  It is tentatively set for Feb 2 at 6:30.

Meeting adjourned at 7:30
